On Christmas Day 2020, Toyota released an ultra-compact battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Toyota C + Pod, which will initially be deployed to local companies and institutions in Japan. Taking advantage of the mini body of this electric vehicle, it is easy to move in densely populated areas and use as a short-distance transportation.
C + pod is an eco-friendly two-seater BEV designed to improve per capita energy efficiency. In addition to daily short-distance use, C + pod is also targeted at corporate users who visit customers regularly, as well as users in urban or mountainous communities who require safe, unrestricted and environmentally friendly transportation.
