  "Authorized by the government at the global level, a number of stores that truly represent the Qiqihar barbecue brand have been selected to provide strong standard support for Qiqihar barbecue to leapfrog to China cuisine in all directions." Zhou Jianyu, director of the Qiqihar Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said.

From a plate of barbecue to an industrial chain

  In order to dig deep into the barbecue industry and make the brand stronger and bigger, Qiqihar City has continuously promoted the action plan of the whole barbecue industry chain from breeding, segmentation and processing, cold chain logistics, supermarket stores and e-commerce sales for many years.

  In the Gonghe livestock trading market located in Meilisi Daur area of Qiqihar City, a cart of beef cattle was transported in and out, and the transaction was hot. Merchants carefully selected their favorite beef cattle with small sticks and registered their transactions with cards throughout the process. During the peak season of bull market trading in summer, the daily trading volume once a week is 7,000 to 8,000, which can provide more than 70,000 high-quality beef cattle for Qiqihar every year.

  "At present, we are building a new digital platform, which is more systematic and intelligent." Zhao Lidong, deputy mayor of gonghe town, Meilisi Daur District, Qiqihar City, said that the digital platform can find the information of beef cattle’s breeding place, selling place and meat yield, as well as the cow face recognition system. The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

  As of the first half of this year, there were 1.295 million beef cattle in Qiqihar, and 312,000 were slaughtered, achieving an output value of 14.03 billion yuan in animal husbandry, up 5.7% year-on-year.

  Cutting meat, mixing meat, weighing and packaging … In the 1300-square-meter workshop of Heilongjiang Qihan Yangjia Muslim Meat Industry Co., Ltd., dozens of workers operate in an orderly way on the assembly line. At the end of the assembly line conveyor belt, the packed cartons are labeled with addresses from all over the country, such as Beijing and Zhejiang, and a truck next to them is already ready to go-every five seconds, a box of barbecue is packed and shipped out here.

  "A cow can produce 550 to 650 kilograms of meat, and the most suitable for barbecue is about 100 kilograms. How thick the meat in different parts is cut and how long it takes to bake is the best. " Yang Ning, general manager of Heilongjiang Qihan Yangjia Muslim Meat Industry Co., Ltd. picked up a bag of traditional mixed meat and introduced that this "online celebrity" product has sold more than 500,000 pieces on a social platform. In the first eight months of this year, the company’s online store sales exceeded 100 million yuan.

  The continuous improvement of the logistics network has realized that Qiqihar barbecue is fragrant all over the country. At present, SF Express has put cold chain vehicles and quick-frozen equipment in Qiqihar, and Heilongjiang Yunleng Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. plans to start 27 pre-warehouses in 16 cities in China in the second half of the year to drive Qiqihar barbecue, meat products, mushrooms, fungus, special vegetables and other products to the whole country. Today, Qiqihar online barbecue e-commerce enterprises have increased to more than 50, and the retail sales of e-commerce networks in the first half of the year reached 830 million yuan.

  At present, Qiqihar has promoted 19 key projects in the whole barbecue industry chain with a total investment of 7.04 billion yuan. In 2022, the whole industrial chain of Qiqihar barbecue will reach 20 billion yuan, and it is expected to hit 30 billion yuan in 2023.
